Job Description

The Pharmacist at Anclote Pharmacy delivers personalized, clinically excellent pharmacy care to patients and families across Tarpon Springs, ensuring every prescription, consultation, and service reflects the independent, relationship-first standard the pharmacy was built on. ABOUT ANCLOTE PHARMACY Anclote Pharmacy is a family owned and independently operated community pharmacy serving Tarpon Springs, Florida since 2008, built on the belief that a pharmacy should know its patients by name. The company offers a comprehensive range of services including prescription fulfillment, local delivery, multi-dose packaging, medication synchronization, medication therapy management, immunizations, medical equipment, long-term care support, medical weight loss, peptide therapy, and telehealth coordination. Guided by values of compassion, reliability, clear communication, and real accountability, Anclote Pharmacy is committed to making treatment simpler, safer, and more personal for every family they serve. SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE Patients receive accurate, timely prescriptions alongside personal pharmacist attention that keeps them adherent, informed, and confident in their care. Clinical services including medication therapy management, multi-dose packaging, compounding, and immunizations are delivered consistently and grow the pharmacy's reputation in the community. Patient relationships deepen over time, with strong retention, positive reviews, and word-of-mouth referrals that expand the practice. OBJECTIVES Verify, dispense, and counsel patients on prescription medications with accuracy, clinical judgment, and clear communication. Recommend appropriate supportive products, supplements, and self-care strategies that complement prescribed therapy, minimize side effects, and improve the patient's overall treatment experience. Conduct medication therapy management sessions to review patient medication regimens, identify drug interactions, and optimize therapy outcomes. Administer immunizations and maintain up-to-date vaccination records in compliance with Florida Board of Pharmacy requirements. Oversee and participate in compounding preparations for human and veterinary patients in compliance with USP standards and applicable regulations. Support multi-dose packaging and medication synchronization programs to improve patient adherence and simplify daily medication routines. Assist patients enrolled in medical weight loss and peptide therapy programs with prescription coordination and clinical guidance. Collaborate with telehealth providers and prescribers to ensure accurate, timely prescription processing and seamless patient follow-up. Provide Medicare open enrollment guidance and help patients evaluate plan options aligned with their current medication needs. Coordinate long-term care pharmacy services for facility partners and caregivers, including timely dispensing and medication management support. Maintain full compliance with HIPAA, DEA regulations, Florida Board of Pharmacy rules, and all applicable pharmacy laws and standards. COMPETENCIES Applies deep clinical knowledge to catch interactions, contraindications, and dosing issues before they reach the patient. Communicates complex medication information in plain, patient-friendly language that builds confidence and drives adherence. Anticipates side effects and tolerance issues before they derail a regimen, offering practical adjustments and supportive recommendations that keep patients comfortable and on therapy. Builds lasting relationships with patients and their families, remembering their history and treating every visit as a continuation of their care. Manages a high-volume workflow with precision and calm, maintaining accuracy and quality without sacrificing personal attention. Stays current on drug updates, clinical guidelines, compounding standards, and Florida pharmacy regulations. Partners with prescribers, telehealth providers, and long-term care facilities to close gaps in care and resolve medication issues quickly. Takes ownership of patient outcomes, following through on clinical recommendations and checking in when it matters. Represents CK Pharma (Anclote Pharmacy) with warmth, professionalism, and genuine care in every patient interaction. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited college of pharmacy required; Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy with equivalent clinical experience considered. Active Florida Board of Pharmacy pharmacist license in good standing required; immunization certification required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire. Experience in community, independent, or long-term care pharmacy settings required; compounding experience for human and/or veterinary patients strongly preferred. Familiarity with medication therapy management, multi-dose packaging, medication synchronization, and pharmacy management software required; medical weight loss or peptide therapy experience a plus. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to stand for extended periods during dispensing, compounding, and patient consultation activities throughout the workday. Must be able to handle medication packaging, vials, and compounding materials with precision and care. Must be able to lift pharmacy supplies and equipment up to 25 pounds as needed.
